CORONATION Street star Bill Roache has given a rare glimpse inside his gorgeous Cheshire home as he praised his decorators on a stellar job.

The house is a far cry from the Cobbbles as he filmed inside its huge conservatory.





The glass windows revealed a spacious garden with green lawns and a pond.

Inside, the white interior boasted stunning gold details throughout.

Bill, 90, walked around the room pointing out his favourite features including the stunning ornate cornice.

The TV legend – who plays Ken Barlow in Corrie – said in the video, shared by building company G.Borg: "My wife Sarah decorated this house 25 years ago and she did it to a very high standard.

"So we were concerned about finding someone who could live up to that high standard.

"We did. We came across George and his family business. They just do a brilliant job.

"Now I just want to show you some little bits, this area here they've done all that and added this leaf here and they've done it beautiful it just looks absolutely wonderful even better than it did originally."

Walking over to the other side, Bill spotted another quality finish and said: "This bit here is interesting. This windowsill. that is like glass, you could use it as a mirro. You could almost see your face in it.

Kind-hearted Bill finished the clip by thanking his decorators, saying: "Not only that they are lovely people to have in the house, I've enjoued meeting them and knowing them."

Bill married his second wife, Sarah Mottram, in 1978.

The couple had three children together, daughters Verity and Edwina, and actor son James Roache, with Bill sharing older children Vanya and Linus with his ex Anna.

Sarah suddenly died of a heart condition at home in 2009, with Bill admitting afterwards that he was "lost without Sarah."

In 2018 his eldest daughter Vanya died aged 50 from live failure.
