ITV announces pop superstar fronting next An Audience With – and it's just months away | The Sun

POP star Kylie Minogue will become the first celebrity to have An Audience With… show made.

The I Should be so Lucky singer already had the tribute paid to her in 2001 on ITV, as she talked and performed in front a large gathering of famous faces and the general public.

This second spectacular will also be recorded for ITV but this time it will be filmed at the Royal Albert Hall on December 1.

Kylie said: "I’ll be performing some of my favourite tracks from throughout my career and no doubt answering some surprising questions from the audience.

"I can’t wait to share this moment with you all.”

The An Audience With… shows are usually filmed in a studio, but last year Adele also recorded her own An Audience With… last year at the London Palladium.

She performed tracks from her latest album 30 as well as chatted to star guests in the audience.

An ITV executive teased another pop star will be featured and said: "It's coming up in towards the end of the year, we've got another audience with, we're really excited.

"I can't say who it's with… they're a great name. A legend."

Other big names to have enjoyed the honour include everyone from Sir Elton John and Sir Cliff Richard to Billy Connolly and Bruce Forsyth.

The format was created in 1978 and has continued to air on a sporadic basis ever since.

But the Kylie show is expected to take the concept even further with what ITV describe as "a supersize A-lister and fan-filled audience ready to raise the roof."

Tickets for the event go on sale on September 8.
