ITV I’m A Celeb viewers ‘furious’ as show favourite is voted off

Marvin Humes has been announced as the sixth campmate to be voted out of the I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here jungle, after making it to the final five.

The JLS singer, 38, was told it was time to say his goodbyes, after ending up in the bottom two alongside Josie Gibson. "I'm going to miss it and everyone in camp, but we all will see each other in the new year. This has been the best experience, thank you," he told hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly upon departing.

When quizzed on which of his campmates he would like to win, Marvin struggled to decide but went for: "Hmmmm, Tony or Sam!"

Some fans were left shocked with the overall vote leading to Marvin's departure, taking to social media to share their outrage. One viewer tweeted: "Absolutely gutted Marvin's been voted out, really wanted to see him do the celebrity cyclone, so proud of you Marvin, you are my king of the jungle."

Many slammed the decision, with another fan sharing: "WHO has kept Nigel and Josie in over Marvin?" as a third added: "How has Marvin gone, I wanted him to win so bad."

While he may have missed out on the final, Marvin was reunited with his wife Rochelle, who he had been missing during his time in the jungle – as the pair shared a kiss at the end of the show's famous bridge.

The tense announcement of who would be next was issued by Ant and Dec on Friday, 8 December, as they headed into camp to reveal which two celebrities had received the lowest number of votes from viewers at home. It came between Josie and Marvin, as Nigel Farage, Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew were all revealed as safe.

It comes after EastEnders star Danielle Harold was voted out just a day prior, telling hosts Ant and Dec: “this is the hardest thing you can ever do in your entire life, I cannot stress enough".

Following her eviction, she beamed excitedly as she was reunited with some of her former campmates – including evicted stars Frankie Dettori, Fred Siriex, Nella Rose and Nick Pickard.

This vote was an extra tense one as the four who made it through are the stars who will take part in the show's iconic Celebrity Cyclone challenge.

One which loyal fans of the show wait for every year, Cyclone sees the four campmates dress up as super heroes and try and make their way across the slippery assault course while being hit by balls and even more water.

Friday's departure came at the end of the episode, which was especially emotional as they were each reunited with a friend or family member in the camp.

Despite being told they were heading to do challenges, a loved one was actually waiting nearby camp for them.

Marvin was left gobsmacked as he saw his wife Rochelle, pulling her in for a tight hug. "To see Roch today has been the booster I needed to get to the end of this," gushed the JLS star.

While Josie Gibson was greeted by her best friend Mia Williams.

She told the ITV presenter: "You should be so proud of yourself," before assuring that her son Reggie was 'absolutely fine" and sharing how he watches the show each night.

Then it was time for Nigel Farage to be reunited with 18-year-old daughter Izzy, who said she was 'incredibly proud' of her dad. "Dad, you've done so well, we're all so proud of you. Everyone has seen you as you, for once. Everyone at home is amazed but in the best way."

Pete Wicks was then waiting for best pal Sam Thompson, who jumped into his arms straight away. "I love you so much, bro, I love you so much," Pete sweetly told Sam.

Jesting that Sam had found a new best friend and replaced him, Pete quipped: "I've got a few things to bring up with you, Tony, Marvin? Don't forget where your bread's buttered."

While Tony was the last to be reunited with his wife Rachael Roberts, with the boxer immediately bursting to tears when he saw her. "The kids miss you, I've spoke to your mum and dad and they're all dead proud of you," she said.
