She was then seen confessing she "hated it" there, and the place was "so awful". Taking herself to bed before heading out of camp, the star began to sob once more.

The food critic, 50, known for her strong opinions on cuisine, had looked pale and a shadow of herself on Sunday night's show and said on camera "I just want to go home".

Announcing the sad news on Monday's episode, Ant McPartlin began the show by saying: "Big news in the jungle – sadly, Grace Dent has left the camp for medical reasons but she's doing fine and we all send her our best." Dec Donnelly added: "We certainly do."
In a heartfelt letter to her fellow campmate she shared why she had to leave. The note read: "My Dear campmates, I'm so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons.
"My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all. You've held me up and it's been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent."
Reacting to the news, EastEnders star Danielle couldn't hold back her tears and shouted: "Love you, Grace." Frankie Dettori expressed his feelings saying: "Grace, we miss you." Marvin Humes also joined in, yelling: "Miss you, Grace." He added: "She hasn't let us down!"
Before starting her jungle adventure, Grace admitted: "Everything is filling me with a real sense of dread, but I am especially dreading being really hungry because I tend to eat four or five posh meals out a week because I am a restaurant critic."
