Jayde Adams opened up on the promise she and her mum made to her late sister Jenna Adams after performing an American Smooth with Strictly Come Dancing partner Karen Hauer. The comedian thanked Claudia Winkleman for saying her sister’s name as she revealed she had promised Jenna she wouldn’t “let people forget her”.

In an emotional tribute, Jayde said: “Something she said to my mum before she died she said, ‘Do you think people will forget me?’ And you just said her name and it’s incredible.”

“No one is forgetting her,” Claudia remarked.

“I know it’s amazing I feel so lucky that I get to do this because so many people lose people and grief is so difficult and it’s so personal.

“To be able to keep her promise that we wouldn’t let people forget her is the most incredible gift that anyone could give me or my family.”
