Kim jailed in devastating EastEnders scenes after suffering panic attack

Kim Fox’s (Tameka Empson) worst nightmare came true in EastEnders as she was jailed following her horrifying car crash ordeal.

Kim was facing sentencing for dangerous driving after crashing her car into the Argee Bhajee in April.

Since the terrifying accident which left Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) fighting for his life, Kim has been really struggling with her anxiety, having regular panic attacks.

In recent scenes, partner Howie (Delroy Atkinson) confided in Denise Fox (Diane Parish), explaining that he couldn’t afford to get Kim the help she needed privately, but that the waiting list for NHS treatment was far too long.

In a bid to help her sister, Denise offered Howie the cash, causing a ruck between herself and husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) when he discovered the money missing from their joint account.

Denise defended herself by explaining what the money was for, and pointed out that it was just as much hers as it was his, before demanding that he stay away from the court.

During the sentencing, Denzel took to the stand to give a character statement in defence of Kim, revealing that he didn’t want her to go to prison.

Things seemed to be going in her favour, until the prosecution brought out a video of the accident, sending Kim into a panic.

She began complaining that she couldn’t breathe and became more distressed the longer she remained in the court room.

Angry at the disruption, the judge ruled to keep her in contempt of court, much to the horror of Kim and her family.

Though they insisted that she was suffering a panic attack, the judge refused to overrule the decision until she had seen medical evidence of Kim’s anxiety.

With Kim having been unable to get a doctors appointment, there was no evidence to present, meaning that Kim was taken into custody.

As Kim’s worst nightmare comes to fruition, how will she cope?
