Loose Women viewers spot tell-tale signs stars are feuding after heated clash

Loose Women viewers claim they have spotted a ‘secret feud’ between Brenda Edwards and Carol McGiffin.

Earlier this week, things got heated between the two panelists while live on-air as they discussed being working mums.

For the latest instalment of the hit ITV show on Monday (January 2) Brenda and Carol were joined by Ruth Langsford and Kelle Bryan.

After sharing their thoughts on Prince Harry’s upcoming interview, the Loose Women’s discussion soon turned to the topic of mums working from home.

Carol, who is never one to hold back her thoughts, insisted she thought it was unfair that working mothers’ colleagues have to pick up the slack.

She explained: "That's been going on for years, I used to have a proper job when I was working in an office and they [working mums] are constantly taking time off.

"There is inequality in the workplace in that sense."

However Carol’s co-star Brenda seemed to be taken aback by her comments and hit back: “I resent that comment because I'm not one of them, I was a working mum of two children."

"I wasn't saying you," Carol quickly replied.

Brenda continued: "I made sure I didn't take time off for this, that or the other but I worked very successfully with my two children alongside me and if you can monitor the work then there are no other people taking up the slack for me, I did my work and I took great pride in that."

The West End legend then got fired up even more after Carol asked her not to "take it so personally.”

“It's hard to not take it personally when you're saying those people are getting special treatment," Brenda explained.

“I did work in a workplace [where] everybody was doing the same job and some people were always taking time off," Carol continued.

“But the people who don't have kids, we are always having to pick up the slack and do extra time.

"It's like Christmas holidays and Easter holidays, the people with children always get the priority," she said.

Brenda, who is the mum to late son Jamal Edwards and her daughter Tanisha, then insisted she "didn't get the priority".

“Like Christmas, I don't get time off, they always give it to the people with kids," Carol continued.

“Don't get me started on maternity leave, where are my nine months off.”

Things got even more awkward and the pair started screaming over each other, with Carol continuing to assure Brenda that her comments were not aimed at her.

However, Brenda warned that Carol "shouldn't generalise them.”

Viewers watching at home were left concerned over the pair’s awkward and heated row.

Some fans are even convinced they have a secret feud as they ‘clearly don’t like each other.’

"Brenda and Carol are feuding non-stop today," one viewer proclaimed.

Another added: "Wow Brenda Edwards is really p***** off at Carol."

"WELL there must be something in the water on

Loose Women today…… Carol and Brenda clearly don't like one another," a third viewer suggested.

“I have to agree with Brenda, being a mum is hard and juggling it with work is even more difficult,” someone else tweeted.

The same user then added: “Carol doesn't know what she's talking about really.”
