Love Island fans were left up in arms after spotting an “annoying” habit in the villa as the winter series gets underway.

On Monday (January 16), the hugely popular ITV2 dating show returned to South Africa for the first time in three years, and fans are already glued to their screens.

As we near the end of the first week, may of the sexy singletons have settled into their pairings after the first coupling ceremony took place, leaving farmer Will Young on the hunt for a new match.

But just three days into the new series, viewers have already spotted an annoying habit amongst the Islanders which consistently distracts them during the show.

After watching Wednesday’s episode (January 18), viewers complained that contestants repeatedly use the word “unreal” to describe all the exciting things going on in the lavish mansion.

And it’s fair to say the popular phrase hasn’t gone unnoticed by viewers at home who flooded to Twitter to complain about the habit online.

One user asked: “Is ‘unreal’ the word of this season? #LoveIsland” as another begged: “Can they stop saying ‘unreal’ pls #LoveIsland [crying emoji].”

A third echoed: "Is 'unreal' the word of the series???? #LoveIsland" meanwhile one account fumed: "How many times are they going to say 'unreal' this season? I'm tired #LoveIsland."

While another viewer added: "If I hear 'unreal' one more time #LoveIsland".

It comes after brunette beauty Anna-May Robey risked a serious wardrobe malfunction after she was seen adjusting her plunging top which struggled to cover her chest.

The TV star was seen relaxing on the day beds following the dramatic recoupling ceremony as she rehashed the wild events with the other girls in the villa.

But as she attempted to join in the gossip, she was seen fondling her chest where her strategically placed straps lay, risking a dangerous nip slip on air.
