Love Island’s Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown is axed from villa in dramatic recoupling

Love Island's most explosive islander this season so far, Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, has been evicted from the vila.

The fiery South London contestant, 25, who came into the villa as a bombshell and quickly coupled up with northerner Tom Clare, has sadly been the next person to be sent home.

The recoupling saw Ron Hall choose Tanyel as his partner, after Australian contestant Aaron chose Lana Jenkins, and Kai Fagan opted to make a go of things with newbie Samie.

As the recoupling came to a close, Tom was left to choose between Ellie Spence and Zara, and said he wanted to give Ellie the opportunity to stay in the villa, whether that was with him or "someone else".

While Zara became emotional at her exit, the contestant said she knew it was "her time" and was excited to get on the outside.

"Queen Z still needs her King!" the star giggled.

It's been a rollercoaster couple of weeks for the model and property developer, who quickly developed a feud with Olivia Hawkins, 27, over their attraction to Tom.

And as the latter was refusing to fully shut down his flirtation with ring girl Olivia, Zara became more and more frustrated.

Olivia insisted she and Tom still had an attraction, but Zara was determined to warn the original contestant away from her footballer partner.

Things came to a head during a game by the fire pit, when Tom awkwardly said he'd choose Olivia's face and Zara's body if he had to create his perfect woman.

The next day, Zara called things quits with her initial beau, and things only went from bad to worse between the pair when she learnt Tom had secretly kissed new bombshell Ellie Spence on the terrace – all the while saying he wanted to get to know Olivia.

Zara dropped the bomb by telling Olivia, and in dramatic scenes on Tuesday night (January 31), the now-evicted islander put the nail in the coffin of her relationship when she stormed up to Tom and gave him some home truths.

As Zara went one step further and spat that she "hoped" Tom's parents were "proud of him," the hunky star stormed off angrily in a huff.

The next night, the islanders were told there was to be surprise recoupling in which the boys would choose.

While many of the other couplings are seriously shaky too, Zara didn't make any connections to the other boys in the villa, friendship or romantically, so she was dumped.

She entered the villa with fellow bombshell David Salako, but he sadly became the first islander to be evicted from the villa.

Anna-May Robey and Haris Namanii followed, and as things really start to heat up in the villa, two more bombshells are also entering.

Jordan Odofin, 28, a senior HR advisor from London, is bringing "swagger" to the villa and hopes to meet a strong girl who will be able to "put him in his place.

Recruitment consultant Casey O'Gorman, 26, is a Tring-born contestant, has always wanted to be married with kids by the time he's 30.

Casey also insists he'll be the "cheekiest" boy in the villa, and will bring lots of "entertainment" and "drama" to the group.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2
