MAFS’ Melinda and Layton’s final decision revealed as they’re spotted after explosive reunion

MAFS Australia's loved-up couple Melinda Willis and Layton Mills were seen in public for the first time in Brisbane since filming finished.

Melinda, 32, and Layton Mills, 35, are one of two successful couples to come out of this season's Married At First Sight Australia.

The couple could not keep their hands off each other as they were seen kissing and cuddling on a date night in Brisbane on Tuesday after the show's final recap episode aired in Oz.

Melinda looked chic in a black one-shoulder dress, which featured a thigh-high slit. She paired the dress with a Gucci belt around her waist, a pair of clear heels and a small Louis Vuitton clutch.

The blonde beauty curled her long locks and wore a full face of makeup consisting of a red lip and eyeliner.

Meanwhile, Layton matched his wife in an all-black outfit consisting of black pants, a matching shirt and a suede blazer. He completed his look with a black belt and dress shoes.

The sighting comes after the pair told Woman's Day that they have been discussing living together – with Layton thinking about relocating from Sydney to Brisbane to be with Melinda.

"I love Brisbane. I think it's awesome. We've just been waiting for the show to finish airing to sort out timings, and what that looks like," he said.

Melinda added that another milestone they were both planning for was growing their family by adopting a dog.

"I want an Italian greyhound. It's just me as a dog," she joked.

Getting off to an awkward start on the show, Melinda and Layton were two individuals that matched perfectly on paper – but perhaps not quite so well in person.

Melinda revealed she considers herself to be a solid 9.5 out of 10 on a scale of attractiveness and admitted that her husband was “punching just a little.”

Initially suspicious of Layton for the majority of the wedding ceremony and reception, it was during his speech that she finally began to realise he was sincere in his attempt to actually forge a meaningful relationship.

Post wedding, Melinda struggled at first to form a physical connection with her new husband, but at some point after some patient perseverance, everything clicked into place – but not without acknowledging that their differences could bring out the worst in each other.

Despite the risk, neither was undeterred and the couple left the experiment hand in hand together.

"Maybe a true soulmate is a mirror," Layton said during the final vows. "Us being together is a risk, so I'm ready to take that risk today."

Melinda responded: "I love you and I want us to be together."
