Neighbours legends iconic stint in Home and Away before Terese Willis role

Neighbours star Rebekah Elmaloglou previously appeared in Home and Away before landing the role of Terse Willis.

The 49-year-old actress made her name as troubled teen Sophie Simpson between 1990 and 1993. Her character was linked to David Croft in 1991, played by Hollywood heartthrob Guy Pearce, another star who has appeared in both of Australia's flagship soap operas.

After being involved in a whirlwind romance, Sophie later became pregnant and David tragically died in a car accident before getting to meet his daughter. Two years later, Sophie decided to leave Summer Bay and move to Perth with David's mother to raise her daughter – but she later made return appearances in the soap between 2002 and 2005.

Rebekah has recently appeared in various shows, including A Country Practice and Pacific Drive. Meanwhile, her Neighbours character Terese developed an on-off relationship with soap villain Paul Robinson, played by Stefan Dennis, until the soap's ''final' episode last year.

However, when the show returned on Amazon Freevee in September it was revealed that Terese was getting married to Ramsay Street resident Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney). However, their married hasn't got off to a smooth start as Toade's daughter nell Rebecchi (Ayisha Salem-Towner) has been meddling in their relationship.

Terese is already dealing with dramas at home after recent changes in her personal life, but her professional ambitions are about to start causing problems too. In Thursday's (October 5) episode, Terese cleared the air with her new husband Toadie following the revelation that he'd lied to her about his ex Melanie Pearson's goodbye letter.

Toadie had claimed to have destroyed the letter, but his scheming daughter Nell engineered a situation for Terese to find out that he still had it. Forced to explain himself, Toadie protested that he no longer has any feelings for Melanie. He claimed to have kept hold of the letter purely so he wouldn't forget the harshness of her final words for him.

Feeling reassured, Terese confronted Nell for stirring up trouble but once again decided to keep quiet about her antics. Later, Jane Harris caught up with Terese and Susan Kennedy at Number 28 after returning from her trip to the UK.

Jane was hoping to confide in Susan about a serious school matter, with Erinsborough High now at risk of being closed down. "Some horrible developer is trying to buy the site. I'm going to start by tracking this person down and giving them a piece of my mind," Jane warned.

Looking guilty, Terese replied: "No need to, because they're right here. I'm the 'horrible developer'." Recent episodes had included mentions of Terese hoping to open a retirement experience, but her initial plan to set it up on Power Road had been blocked. With an alternative option now clearly on the table, how will Jane react to Terese's betrayal?
