Nineties rock legend unrecognisable 30 years after bandmate’s tragic suicide | The Sun

NINETIES rock legend Krist Novoselic looks unrecognisable 30 years after his bandmate’s tragic suicide.

Nirvana star Krist Novoselic, 58, sported long brown hair at the peak of his fame but these days his locks are thinning.

Having grown a cowboy-style moustache, he recently attended the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

The musician was reunited with his former bandmates Dave Grohl and Pat Smear – who now perform with the Foo Fighters.

Stepping out at the Crypto.com Arena, the bassist put on a suave display in a bright yellow shirt and a black suit.

Kurt Cobain, the band's enigmatic lead singer died when he was only 27, on April 5 1994.

At the age of 20, he formed Nirvana with Krist becoming influential in the grunge movement of the early 90s.

The pair were joined by drummer Dave to form the most well-known line-up of the band.

In 1991 the band released their second album, Nevermind and had huge success with rebellious rock single Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Krist established Sweet 75 in 1995 and Eyes Adrift in 2002 after Nirvana broke up, releasing one album with each group.
