Olivia Attwood has been forced to leave the I’m A Celebrity jungle after 24 hours due to medical grounds. The Love Island star was watched by ITV viewers entering the jungle in style on Sunday but it’s been reported she has had to withdraw from the series.
A show spokesman said: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.
“Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”
Olivia proved to be a huge hit with viewers almost instantly.
The Love Island star and radio presenter had to jump out of a helicopter at 10,000ft.
After successfully completing the jump, Olivia said: “Oh my god I’m crying, that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, ever. That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing.”
I’m A Celebrity viewers were stunned by the news of Olivia’s departure.
@BCFCD7 tweeted: “Can’t believe Olivia has left the jungle, was warming to her #ImACeleb.”
@CW_Wells_2000 added: “So Olivia Attwood is out of Im A Celebrity after 24 hours on medical grounds. Very big surprise only 24 hours into the new series. #ImACeleb.”
@d_loughins remarked: “Olivia has left. The show has just got worse #ImACeleb.”
In light of Oliva’s early exit @RyanGSoapKing11 asked: “I wonder if they’ll send in a replacement celeb for Olivia. Usually they have a “Stand in” on standby in case a celeb drops out. Despite the world cup in 2 weeks it’s still a full length 3 weeks series. #ImACeleb.”
