Only Fools and Horses star unrecognisable 20 years after classic sitcom | The Sun

ONLY Fools and Horses Paul Barber looks unrecognisable in a movie 20 years after the end of the sitcom.

The actor, who played Denzil Tulser, a a long-distance lorry driver and a good friend of Derek Trotter, looks very different in a movie set to release later this year, called Love Without Walls.

Paul, 72, is pictured looking dishevelled wearing a khaki military jacket teamed with a yellow jumper and a black beanie hat.

His character, known as Spiceman, appears unkempt with overgrown nails and a bushy ungroomed beard.

He is seen looking stony-faced as he puffs on a roll-up cigarette in the scene.

The film follows a young married couple who struggle when they are suddenly made homeless.

This emotionally charged British drama focuses on a number of social issues, while also telling a story of love attempting to survive in the face of adversity.

TV star Paul became a big name on laugh-out-loud comedy, Only Fools – created and written by the late great John Sullivan.

It centred around the chaotic lives of wheeler-dealer Del Boy and his younger brother Rodney.

Often the victim that usually fell for Del Boy’s scams was Denzil Tulser – portrayed by actor Paul Barber – an easy-going lorry driver from Liverpool.

Eventually, his controlling wife Corinne got so fed up with him always going along with Del Boy's antics that she walked out on him.

Paul shares one obvious thing in common with his character on Only Fools as they both originate from Liverpool, although Denzil moved to Peckham when he was a young boy.

He remained in the popular sitcom from 1981 and stayed put until the show concluded back in 2003.

Paul also starred in the Bafta award-winning movie The Fully Monty, which was a huge hit when it was first released in 1997.

Earlier this year, the cast including Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy and Lesley Sharp – have reunited for an eight-part series on Disney+.
