Outlander | Ep. 8 Mid-Season Finale Preview

Fans of the historical time travel series Outlander have been left upset after the midseason finale was pushed back by a week.

Season seven of Outlander has been airing for the past couple of months with new episodes dropping on Starz and Lionsgate+.

However, quite a few fans were left confused when there wasn’t a new episode to enjoy this week.

To add salt to the wound, the next instalment marks the midseason finale and addressed the fate of hero Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan).

Thankfully, Outlander is confirmed to be returning on Friday, August 11 before it goes on its midseason hiatus.

Starz has confirmed the second block of season seven, which has already been filmed, will be airing at some point in 2024.

Many viewers took to social media to express their disappointment about the brief hiatus.

One user called @MickLee93 wrote: “Um why did no one tell me that episode 8 of outlander doesn’t come out today!!! #outlander #OutlanderSeason7.”

While a second @EllexMay tweeted: “No #Outlander today” accompanied by a heartbroken emoji.

A third called @ScarlettYoli posted: “I watched 707 again at midnight, to help with the sadness of not watching a new episode. #Outlander.”

Another @fandomhybrid said: “Whose dumb idea was it to make us wait a week for the #outlander mid-season finale?

“It’s bad enough we have to wait until next year for the second half of the season!”

When Outlander season seven does return next week, fans will be getting a double treat with Men In Kilts season two making a comeback.

The show will see Outlander actors Heughan and Graham McTavish teaming up again for their travelogue, this time venturing across New Zealand to discover its culture and Scottish influences.
