Sunday saw the 20th series of I’m A Celebrity draw to a close as England Lioness Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle. Although Owen Warner landed in second place, the 23-year-old is set to earn the most out of the final five through potential Instagram posts.

Since entering the Australian jungle three weeks ago, 23-year-old Owen Warner captured the hearts of the nation as he got stuck into camp life.

The Hollyoaks actor confessed he had watched the show since he was a child with his family and was thrilled when he finished in second place against football star Jill Scott.

Sharing that he’d grown up a lot since appearing in the ITV reality show, Owen was over the moon when his friend was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Speaking to Ant and Dec when the Lioness was named the winner, he said: “I’m so gassed for Jill! I think everyone agrees, no one deserves this more than Jill.”

Despite the soap star missing out on the crown, he’s set to earn the most from Instagram out of the final five which also includes Matt Hancock, Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh.

Research conducted by Gambling.com calculated how much each contestant could make with a sponsored post.

It also measured each of their followers and potential earnings growth from when the show began on November 6 up until the present day.

It showed that Owen took the top spot and could make up to £1,503 from a commercial Instagram entry, which is a massive increase of 38 percent since the beginning of the programme.

His following on the social media platform has also skyrocketed as there’s been an increase of 100,000 people.

Entering the jungle, the Hollyoaks actor had 262,979 people following him, whereas he now has a huge 364,149.

In second place to earn the most from Instagram posts is the series winner Jill Scott as her potential earnings from the platform has surged by 32 percent to £1,208 per post.

During the final of I’m A Celebrity, the reality show smashed records with the highest-rated viewing in four years.

Attracting an audience of 11.5 million viewers, both Jill and Owen were stunned to learn that the show had received over 12 million votes on who they wanted to be crowned the winner.

This year saw the camp return to Australia for the first time in two years due to them being unable to travel across the globe following COVID-19 restrictions.

For 2020 and 2021, the series was filmed in a “haunted” Welsh castle which saw Giovanna Fletcher crowned for the first year and Emmerdale’s Danny Miller taking over her reign as King the following year.

The last female to win the show in the Australian jungle was Eastenders star Jacqueline Jossa in 2018.

When Jill was announced as the newest winner, she was speechless as she said: “I just can’t believe it honestly.

“I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes.

“Look, these guys [campmates of the series] were absolutely incredible. We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner.

“We couldn’t have got through it without all of us and I think we’ve all been winners of I’m A Celebrity.”
