The Panesar family has been a strong focus in EastEnders recently, and we’re so here for it.

The dynamic was rocked when head of the family Nish (Navin Chowdhry) returned after time behind bars for murder and since then, well so much has changed.

Nish is at the head of the table, controlling his children and Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who recently discovered Ravi (Aaron Thiara) was actually Nish’s son – not Ranveer’s.

Thanks to Nish’s ability to manipulate Suki, she recently welcomed Ravi into the family, despite the fact he’s allowing her to believe she murdered Ranveer, when we know it was actually Ravi who killed him.

When you’re a Panesar, you live in a complicated and dangerous world and if Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw’s comments are anything to go by, things are set to get a lot worse.

‘We mustn’t forget that Nish has been in prison for a crime of passion [killing the friend Suki was close to]’, he told Inside Soap Magazine.

‘He’s a man of honour, and we potentially know what he’s capable of and we also know what Ravi is capable of too! One of the Panesars will soon make the ultimate sacrifice’.

Reflecting on Suki and Eve’s (Heather Peace) relationship, which was put on hold when Nish arrived in Albert Square, Chris added: ‘What’s interesting is why Suki sticks with Nish, and why she isn’t allowing herself to be happy with Eve.

‘It’s a love story between Suki and Eve, but it is complicated’.
