Piers Morgan has been voicing his opinions about the Duchess of Sussex for several years on television, in newspaper columns and on social media. The 57-year-old even quit his presenting role on Good Morning Britain after clashing with an ITV colleague over Meghan Markle. The journalist continued to criticise Meghan on Monday’s instalment of his TalkTV show, with viewers hitting out at his “obsession” with the royal.

Piers told viewers Netflix has released a trailer for the final three instalments of the Duke and Duchess’ documentary series, named Harry & Meghan, which comes out on Thursday.

Within the explosive trailer, Meghan, 41, claimed: “I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves.”

Piers called the pair the “Duke and Duchess of gaslighting” after playing the trailer.

“The whole thing is an attempt to manipulate viewers into questioning their recollections of reality,” the broadcaster claimed.

“If we learnt anything from the first hundred million hours of this whineathon, it’s that this dismal duo wouldn’t know the truth if it smacked them around their smug chops.”

He then dissected claims made within the first three episodes of the series which were released on the streaming giant last Thursday.

Piers brazenly said: “By the way Meghan, if you don’t like me calling you a liar, just sue me and we will go through all this in court.”

He shut down Meghan’s claims she was not supposed to wear bold colours during her time as a senior royal by showing viewers pictures of the Duchess in bright yellow and green dresses, seemingly at royal events.

His scathing monologue about the Duchess lasted for almost nine minutes, with Piers even mocking her American accent as he discussed Harry’s wedding proposal.

TalkTV viewers flocked to Twitter following Piers’ rant, with some branding him “obsessed” with Meghan.

Jeff penned: “Your obsession with these two is nothing short of disturbing! Get a life.” (sic)

James Kirby added: “Watch as Piers’ obsession continues by dissecting every second. Who’s paying you Piers? You do more to spread their exposure, light, air, views, and headlines than anyone else.” (sic)
