Popular Channel 4 show returns after mid-series break – and fans are delighted | The Sun

FANS are delighted that a popular Channel 4 show is set for a return after it's big mid-series break.

The Dog Academy puts Britain's top dog trainers and specialists to work.

The Channel 4 show aims to help exhausted owners create positive relationships with their misbehaving canine companions.

The first set of episodes aired in March 2023, which featured top trainer Victoria Stilwell.

She is the lead trainer for the show after she became one of the most recognised dog trainers in the world.

The star is also an author and TV presenter, who is best known as the star from the TV series It's Me or the Dog.

Stilwell filmed over 130 episodes for the series and reached an audience in over 120 countries.

In 2010 she launched a global network of positive reinforcement dog trainers and in total she published five best-selling books.

However, the commercial broadcaster has confirmed that the latest series will make a huge return to the airwaves on Thursday 20 July at 8:00pm.

The new set of episodes promises to tell interesting stories – like that of Beth, who inherited her Maltese Bichon cross, Marco, from her late father even though she is “not a dog person”.

There's also three-year-old chihuahua, Dexter, who starts aggressively yapping at his owner Sean whenever he wants “alone time” with his partner Charlotte.

In the new pet series, contestants are trained in dog management as well as psychology skills for their dogs in positive behavioural reinforcement.

Although these canine companions can be a handful, with the right help, tips and tricks, they can get back to being the best furry friends they were meant to be.
