THE Mysterious Benedict Society has been axed by Disney+ after just 2 Seasons – leaving fans heartbroken.
A third season of the popular adventure series staring Tony Hale has been cancelled, according to its co-creator and executive producer.
The show follows as “four gifted orphans are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency,” according to Disney+.
“Dear friends- season 2 will mark the end of The Mysterious Benedict Society’s journey on Disney+. We love everyone who helped make this truly special and indeed life-affirming experience happen. No regrets- so proud of what we made!, Phil Hay wrote on Twitter.
The producer continued: “The beauty of streaming is that the show lives on Disney+ and you can find it whenever you want to visit. Spoiler alert for how the story ends: the kids stay friends forever.”
As well as this, the news was confirmed by the writer as well – who thanked fans for supporting the series.

"Hard to say goodbye to The Mysterious Benedict Society, but so INCREDIBLY thankful to Disney TV Studios and Disney+ for allowing us two seasons of this beautiful story written by Trenton Stewart,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of the cast.
The show is based on the bestselling YA book series, by the author Trenton Lee, The Mysterious Benedict Society.
Fans of the show were left devastated at the news and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "I can't believe #TheMysteriousBenedictSociety is over. I loved that show!"
