Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley revealed that his daughter Chloe, husband James Haskell and their newborn baby have been living with him for three months.

The fitness trainer, daughter of Richard and Judy Finnigan, and the former rugby player welcomed their daughter Bodhi on August 10 at 8:36am.

During Tuesday’s instalment of the breakfast programme Susanna welcomed Richard back on-screen after his notable absence from the show.

‘You’ve abandoned life and you’re back on the earlies and it is absolutely love to have you back, and your family has changed since I last saw you,’ said Susanna.

Addressing the moment he found out Chloe was in labour while he was presenting GMB Charlotte Hawkins, Richard replied: ‘Well on my very last day doing the show in the middle of August a couple of months ago, I couldn’t tell you at the time because my didn’t want me say anything but she was in labour.’

‘She was having the baby, and the baby was actually born at 8:40am, while we were in the commercial break, which was very handy.’

Richard previously explained that although he wasn’t there in person, he was receiving regular updates throughout the programme.

Updating Susanna over what’s been happening in the Madeley household, he said: ‘Our house in London has been baby central, because Chloe, her husband and the baby have been living with us, because their house is being done up.

‘So they’ve been living with us for three months, and I love it! You just go in and it’s like “baby, baby, baby everywhere.”‘

He continued: ‘I enjoy it, let’s put it that way. She’s a beautiful baby. Little Bobo.

Chloe admitted that pregnancy and life postpartum had made her reevaluate her outlook on her body, explaining: ‘What I learned throughout my pregnancy, and what I’ve learned since in the postnatal period, is not to take your body personally (even though your visceral reaction will likely tell you to). Don’t do it.

‘Don’t think that because you expect your body to do something, it will, and don’t think you should attach any kind of emotion to that whatsoever.

Chloe and James, who had been trying to conceive a baby for two years, tied the knot in 2018.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
