Despite Rayne Royce’s (Jemma Donovan) efforts to make everything about her, Hollyoaks’ Lacey Lloyd’s (Annabelle Davis) mind was elsewhere on Tuesday (August 22), as she took a chance on romance.
The lawyer, as viewers know, has been crushing hard on Nadira Valli (Ashling O’Shea), who feels the same way back, though both women have struggled to admit their feelings for one another.
Tuesday’s first look E4 offering of the Channel 4 soap saw Nadira on hand to offer Lacey support in the wake of her supposed best mate Rayne’s abusive tirade, reassuring her that she’s done nothing wrong.
Lacey appreciated the support and, after receiving some advice from Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), who shared a very public kiss with husband James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), she was inspired to put herself first and take a chance on love.
After arranging to meet with Nadira outside the Love Boat, Lacey opened up, revealing to Nadira that she very much likes her. Struggling to hide her glee, Nadira explained that she reciprocated such feelings, which promoted a similar grin from Lacey.
Cutness overload.
With their feelings officially out in the open, Lacey leaned in and kissed Nadira, who kissed her right back, with the two subsequently enjoying a giggle as they ordered a meal.
Our hearts.
Now down to the serious stuff. What are we thinking for couple names?Nacey or Ladira? Either way, this ship is officially underway and we have no choice but to stan.
But before you go and buy a hat, it’s worth keeping in mind that Rayne is still at large, meaning that Lacey and Nadira’s happiness could be fleeting.
A post-credit scene for the episode in question saw Lacey and Nadira share news of their romance with the social media influencer.
‘Well it’s about time’, she spouted back, feigning happiness, but as soon as her back was turned, audiences saw how she really felt about the romance – and she wasn’t pleased.

Will Nadira and Lacey’s romance blossom? Or will Rayne’s reign of terror well and truly put a dampener on things?
The social media star has proven what she’s truly capable of time and again and with Lacey’s priorites elsewhere amid her romance with Nadira, will Rayne resort to drastic action to keep her friend focused solely on her?
