Rylan Devastated Not To Be Asked Back To Big Brother
Rylan Clark joined the Loose Women panel earlier today and admitted he was “devastated” to not be asked back to host Big Brother.
During his candid chat, host Ruth Langsford noted: “A new series on ITV very soon, but sadly not with you on it!”
Rylan explained: “Yeah! So obviously, Big Brother was a massive part of my life, it was my favourite thing in the world to do.
“And yeah, I knew, I mean for the past five years that it has been off I have been very vocal in saying it should come back, in my eyes it was and still is the best reality show out there.
“The real reality show and at that point I didn’t know what was going on with Big Brother and I said very much that I am a part of it.

“I suppose naively and stupidly to a point, I just thought I had been there for six nearly seven years, you have been to my house I have a Diary Room built into my house, I love the show so much.
“And I just sillyly presumed that I would be asked back, I knew Emma [Willis] wasn’t going back and Emma is a good friend of mine.
“And I wasn’t and it didn’t transpire to be, and you know I could be one of those people now that sits there and goes ‘No, it is what I wanted.’
“It wasn’t what I wanted, I would have gone back to Big Brother in a heartbeat and it was, it was quite difficult actually because I didn’t find out until nearly when everyone else found out which I was quite upset about and I was devastated.”

The relaunch of the show will begin on Sunday, October 8 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with the episodes being aired nightly from 9pm apart from Saturdays.
A recent TV fan account revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the launch episode will not be live.
They tweeted: “The Big Brother launch show will be the ONLY pre-recorded show to air ‘as live’ – and ITV have stated that this means much more house action will be seen during episodes 1 and 2.
“Eviction shows WILL BE LIVE! However, due to only being 60 minutes every night, eviction interviews will roll over the break into the sideshow Big Brother: Late & Live.
“This is also hosted by AJ and Will so essentially turns eviction nights into one big 2-hour LIVE event (followed by 2 more hours of live feed)!” (sic)
