Sinitta slams Celebs Go Dating for ‘disgraceful editing’ amid Simon Cowell claim

Singer Sinitta took to Twitter to share her hurt and anger over Celeb's Go Dating's "disgraceful editing".

Sinitta claimed the show made he look like she was still in love with her ex and close pal Simon Cowell. The former couple dated back in the 80s when she was working under his label.

She claimed her love admission for the music mogul was taken completely out of context.

Sinitta tweeted: "Disgraceful editing! To say I was still 'in love' with @SimonCowell was a huge disservice to me and my endeavours. Why did you do this?"

"Love and 'in Love' are very different @CelebsGoDating @awilliamsonTV @PaulCBrunson #iTrustedYou" she wrote.

On the show, Sinitta delved into her previous relationship with Simon, telling dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson that he was a "big womaniser".

"Simon is widely sought after, and he's a big womaniser. He likes hot models, you know we'd go to all the clubs and everybody is into Simon. He's gonna kill me… But he would go missing on the weekends", Sinitta revealed.

She added: "Yep, we would make up, break up, make up, break up."

Ahead of the series' launch, Sinitta told The Sun that Simon had taken on a "protective" role in their friendship and keeps a close eye on the guys she dates.

"Simon was surprised I was doing Celebs Go Dating," Sinitta told The Sun. "He said ‘well, anyone they fix you up with I’ll have to vet them."

She continued: "Simon’s got that protective big brother thing which was very sweet. I would like anyone i’m with to get on with Simon because obviously he’s one of my closest best friends."

After things fizzled out romantically, the pair stayed good friends and although Simon's recently relationship with her bestie Lauren Silverman was awkward at first, the trio soon got back onto good terms.

Sinitta is also the godmother to Simon and Lauren's son Eric.

Celebs Go Dating airs weeknights on E4 at 10pm
