Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – songs and dances revealed as celebrities prepare for first live show | The Sun

STRICTLY Come Dancing is BACK and fans of the hit BBC have been on the edge of their seats waiting for it to dance back to screens.

The show kicked off last night with celebrities including Will Mellor and Kym Marsh as part of the full line-up.


And we found out who the 15 brand new celebrities will be paired with for the 2022 series, which will see judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke return.

There are lots of exciting pairings, including last year’s winner, Giovanni Pernice, taking to the dance floor with TV personality Richie Anderson as a same-sex couple.

Now, the first songs the pairings will be dancing to have been revealed too ahead of Saturday night’s live show.

Tony Adams and Katya Jones are dancing to Go West Village People, and Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin will groove to DANCE by Dnce.

For Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe it’s I am What I Am by Klaus Hallen Tanzorchester and Fleur East and Vito Coppola will dance to Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez.

Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal are boogying to Islands in the Stream by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers and Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez’s song is You Send Me by Aretha Franklin.

For James Bye and Amy Dowden it’s What I Like About You by The Romantics and Dirrty by Christina Aguilera for Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer.  

Kaye Adams and Kai Widdrington are dancing to Voulez-Vous by Abba and Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima’s song is Yes by Merry Clayton.

Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova’s chosen track is Sir Duke by The Chris Walden Big Band and it’s Kiss My (Uh Oh) by Anne-Marie and Little Mix for Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.

Finally, Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice will hit the dance floor to I’m Your Man by Wham!, Tyler West and Dianne Buswell’s song is Falling by Harry Styles and Will Mellor and Nancy Xu’s is Livin’ La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin.

Strictly fans shared their excitement for the first dance tracks of the new series, with one person writing: “These are perfect dances ahh!”

Another said: “Yasss so exciting,” while a third added: “These are all awesome songs.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues next weekend, with the first live show on Saturday 24th September on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
