Molly Rainford is the tenth celebrity to be announced to take part in 2022's Strictly Come Dancing.

The children's TV presenter, 21, will be swapping the CBBC studios for the famous ballroom later this year as she puts her dancing skills to the test on the hugely popular BBC One dance competition.

She was the latest star to be announced on the TV programmes official Twitter account as the fans flooded the post with congratulatory comments online.

The post read: "Say hello to Molly Rainford, she's an intergalactic pop superstar from @CBBC and she's here to star on #Strictly!"

The starlet went on to share the exciting announcement with her loyal legion of fans on Instagram alongside the celebratory video on Instagram.

In full view of her 97, 000 followers online, she captioned the joyous post: "The secret’s finally out, I can’t believe it… I’m doing Strictly!! [screaming emoji]

"I already know it’s gonna be an experience of a lifetime & I can’t wait to meet the rest of the @bbcstrictly family I’ll be sharing it with [three glitter emojis] get me to the dance floor [dancing woman emoji]."

Loyal Britain's Got Talent fans will remember the blonde bombshell from when she appeared on the ITV show at the age of just 11-years-old back in 2012.

The TV star when on to blow judges away with her impressive vocal skills as she confidently performed the complex classical song Ava Maria.

Sadly, she was pipped to the post by the mind-blowing dog act Ashely and Pudsey leaving the singer to finish in sixth place.

But she didn't let that knock her confidence as the songstress now stars in CBBC's sci-fi drama Nova Jones where she plays the role of an eighteen-year-old intergalactic pop star who performs in space.

The singer-turned actor took on the famous role back in September 2021, with a slew of her own original music to accompany her new character.

Speaking at the time, Molly gushed: "Nova Jones is definitely a loveable diva, and playing her is a dream come true!

"Performing super catchy tunes in sparkly costumes is so much fun. It's a pleasure to be a part of the Jefferson crew!"
