Fans of Strictly Come Dancing were left fearing for the relationship of Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg after the former jetted to her native Australia for Christmas "alone".

Professional dancer Dianne, who met YouTuber Joe when the pair were partnered on the hit BBC One show in 2018, shared a series snaps aboard her 24-hour flight with her 890,000 Instagram followers.

The 33-year old looked relaxed in a pink knitted jumper and red Adidas joggers to match her famous tresses as she sipped champagne.

Further shots showed the star getting ready to sleep as she held a hot drink in a change of clothes partially under the covers.

Dianne captioned her post: "I’m almost in the land of oz !!!! What a difference 24 hours of flying makes, then vs now! Been practicing my Australian accent on the plane! I’m rusty!"

Fans were quick to voice their concerns over the whereabouts of Joe with one commenting: "In a earlier Halloween vlog Joe and Dianne said they would be back together after Strictly [on the] 17th so what’s changed Dianne?"

Another wrote: "Have Dianne and joe ended it..? Feel like I don’t see them together anymore."

A third said: "Have you now split up?"

And countless others simply asked: "Where's Joe?"

One fan hit back at the rumourmongering, however, adding: "The comments on this post aren’t a good vibe. What Joe and Dianne do in their private lives is none of your business, it doesn’t mean they’ve split up. You’ll have the paparazzi blabbing next, leave them alone."

Earlier this year Dianne opened up about her devastating eating disorder which could have caused her to have a “heart attack” in her early twenties.

After working on a cruise line for many years, she explained how she and her fellow dancers were subjected to weekly weigh ins and was even given two “weight warnings” after she gained two kilos while away at sea.

She went on to explain that over the years she developed an unhealthy relationship with her body image and would even “make herself sick” in order to keep the weight off while performing mind-blowing performances every week.

"I went through one point where I just wouldn’t eat, so I would have a drink for my lunch and a drink for my dinner – I just drank shakes," she revealed.

"I got really sick, I had nothing. If I did have food I would make myself sick because I wouldn’t want it in me."
