Strictly fans confused as Rose Ayling-Ellis’ boyfriend missed out of good luck video

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left confused during Friday's It Takes Two as Rose Ayling-Ellis' boyfriend Samuel Arnold was missed out of a sweet good luck video from her friends and family.

During the emotional video montage, which left the EastEnders star, 27, in tears, it saw her mother Donna, grandparents, brother Jacob and friends share sweet messages.

However, viewers were quick to spot that Rose's boyfriend Samuel was missing from the montage as they took to Twitter to share their confusion.

One person said: "Where was Rose’s boyfriend? #strictly."

While a different account tweeted: "How come they’ve never had Rose’s boyfriend on? #ItTakesTwo."

However, this could be due to Rose, who is the first deaf contestant to take part in Strictly, wanting to keep her personal life out of the public eye as she has always appeared to have kept her partner Samuel, who she began dating back in 2014, private.

During the sweet messages, Rose's mother Donna said: "As a little girl, she was always really happy, always laughing, never frightened of anything.

"The most brave person I know actually. The thing that made me cry was her happiness. It just showed how proud she was of her deaf identity."

She finished her message with: "I'm just so happy that they get to watch Rose and it's Rose and she's my daughter and I'm so proud."

With Rose's brother Jacob saying: "When I first found out about Rose on Strictly, I think – it was just absolutely mind-blowing. To see her get the earliest 40 in Strictly history, it just summed up how hard she's been working.

"She's just powering through and saying to the public, I can do everything that anyone else can do if I'm given that opportunity."

While her grandparents sweetly commented: "She just never ceases to amaze us."

Saturday's Strictly final will see John Whaite and Johannes Radebe and Rose and Giovanni Pernice take to the dance floor one last time in a bid to win the Glitterball trophy.
