Strictly: Kym Marsh saved as Matt Goss exits show

Last Sunday, Kym Marsh and Matt Goss landed in the bottom two and had to perform in the dance-off in order to stay on Strictly Come Dancing. However, luckily for Kym, the judges chose to save her and Graziano di Prima, meaning Matt and his partner Nadiya Bychkova were sent home.

It was clear to see that Kym was surprised to land in the bottom two, but it could put the Morning Live presenter at risk this weekend,

Speaking to Express.co.uk, celebrity Psychologist Dr Arthur Cassidy believes if the pair is going to win, there needs to be a “stronger balance”.

On behalf of Buzz Bingo, Dr Cassidy began: “Their onscreen performance lacks the traits of warmth and social cohesion but is compensated for by their focus on skilled choreography.

“In order to win there needs to be a much stronger balance between them on emotionality and passion in their dancing.”

The expert also analysed Will Mellor and his dance partner Nancy Xu.

Will received a lower score than expected last weekend after suffering from a virus during rehearsals.

Despite the setback, Dr Cassidy claims the pair have great on-screen chemistry.

“Will Mellor and Nancy Xu have given us the very best of reality entertainment with his magnetic and high-powered energy that is contagious with his sex appeal and charismatic presence on the dancefloor,” the expert continued.

“From early on in the competition the chemistry between the two has been reciprocal but there is more recently a hint of tension between the couple.

“Will’s basic power motives that drive his core personality characteristics are a strong desire for power and independent thinking besides self-assertion and love for family values.”

Last weekend, it was a tense moment for Kym as she awaited to hear her fate from the judges.

When asked by Tess Daly about how she felt about landing in the bottom two, Kym admitted: “It’s disappointing, obviously.

“But I always say, someone has to go and if we’re in the bottom two, then we’re in the bottom two.

“We had a great time Saturday and if I’m going out with that dance then I’m really happy.”

Tess turned to the judges as she pointed out Kym was in the middle of the leaderboard, which was a “danger zone”.

“I thought you did such a great job on Saturday night,” Craig Revel Horwood complimented.

“My advice can only be, do exactly the same again, you’re amazing.”

Craig, Anton du Beke and Motsi Mabuse all chose to save the former soap star, meaning Kym was safe from elimination.

It also meant that it didn’t matter who Shirley Ballas could have voted for because Kym received three votes.

Will Kym manage to impress the judges this weekend or is she at risk of elimination?
