Les Dennis announced as first Strictly contestant to leave
Strictly Come Dancing star Les Dennis was the first celebrity to be eliminated from the BBC competition on Sunday night.
The actor’s message to show bosses was short and sweet, as he told them in his exit speech: “You’re just all amazing!”
Before the judges cast their votes, Les and Nancy Xu and Nikita Kanda and Gorka Marquez had to battle it out in the dance-off.
It was then up to Shirley Ballas, Anton du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, and Motsie Mabuse to decide who they wanted to stay and who they wanted to leave.
It was a unanimous vote as all four judges decided to save Nikita, meaning Les was sent home.

Motsi said about her decision: “Both couples danced better in the dance-off. One couple was extremely better in the dance-off. I will save Nikita and Gorka.”
Anton went on: “I thought it was a competition of two couples on performance alone and who could really nail their performance. I think the couple who did the best job were Nikita and Gorka.”
When Tess Daly asked Les about his Strictly journey, he said: “I’ve had the best time, this lady has been amazing, a great teacher, she’s really put me through my paces.”
Turning to Nancy, Les continued: “I did as well as I could for you, I hope! That lot up there, I’m going to miss you so much.
