The Chase viewers were left swooning over a sexy player on Friday’s episode (August 4) but were soon put off by his unusual job.
Handsome player Ric delighted fans with his chiseled look and dapper appearance as he introduced himself to host Bradley Walsh and fans at home.
After revealing to Brad that he was a speech writer, Brad assumed he wrote speeches for universities and politicians.

But Ric quickly corrected him, explaining that he wrote speeches for weddings and went on to tell a bizarre story about a chicken.
He recalled writing a speech for a groom that was intent on filling the speech with chicken puns as his bride was “obsessed” with the clucky creature.
He dubbed it one of the “funniest” requests he’d had in his career, saying: “His wife was really into chickens so I just basically added as many chicken puns as I could.”
A stunned Bradley sent over a shocked stare before saying “ok” and swiftly moving onto the game.
Fans at home were quick to chime in.
“Ric is hot but his job is weird #thechase,” said one fan.
“Pls Ric is stunning,” penned another.
A third added: “well hello rick I don’t care that you write about chickens.”
Another player grabbed viewers’ attention and left Brad stunned after revealing she was a former international athlete.
Essex PHD student Gemma was the second player to take on the tough ITV game show and Bradley was eager to find out more about the contestant.

She explained that she was studying child psychology and went on to discuss her career as an international sporting star.
Gemma explained: "I used to be an international athlete. I'm now retired but I still like to keep fit.
A gobsmacked Bradley replied: "Hang on, hold the line. What did you do?
"100 metre hurdles Bradley," the player replied.
The presenter questioned "How quick?"
"13.02" Gemma replied.
"So you was representing GB" Bradley quizzed.
Gemma confirmed that she'd previously competed for her country on several occasions and is the owner of many medals.
The contestant answered four questions correctly during her cash builder round, earning £4,000.
She later went head-to-head with The Sinnerman in a series of general knowledge questions.
Gemma proved her sporting success as she managed to hurdle over the quiz champion and go straight through to the final.
