This Morning fans called for a major format shake-up after Ruth Lansford returned to the show after nearly one year.

The presenter, 62, was joined by Rylan Clark-Neal to host Monday (August 22) morning's instalment of the ITV show, marking her first appearance since October 2021.

Minutes into the programme, fans were delighted at Ruth's return and took to social media to demand the move be made more permanent.

One user wrote: "10 minutes in, what a difference Ruth and Rylan make. Engaging news review. Why aren't they presenting more often? #thismorning."

"Yay Ruth and Rylan! Ruth's back where she belongs," penned a second.

A third exclaimed: "Ruth and Rylan!!!! Can these two always be on #thismorning please?"
