A Spirit Airlines flight attendant has gone viral after ranting about her employer’s penchant for charging customers for every little item.
Video posted to TikTok in mid-March shows the unnamed flight attendant during her pre-flight announcement informing customers on board an aircraft from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles that if they wanted something extra — like power outlets or a reclining seat — the airline will make them pay for it.
It has now gained more than 278,800 views, with more than 25,600 likes and over 200 comments.
Many TikTokers who commented on the now famous video posted by @cali.style.trucking supported the flight attendant for her humor and honesty.
But some online slammed her conduct as ‘unprofessional.’

In the video, the flight attendant says that if Spirit Airlines offered extra items like blankets or outlets — or even if the seats reclined — the airline would charge a fee.
‘No, we do not have sockets for you to charge up your phones because if we did, we will charge you,’ the flight attendant said. ‘No we do not have blankets for you because if we did, this is Spirit and we will charge you.
‘No your seats do not recline. If they did, again, this is Spirit and we will charge you,’ she continued. ‘And no, we do not have earplugs for you because if we did, because if we did, y’all know this is Spirit, and we will do what?’
‘Charge you!’ an amused passenger shouted.
‘Come on y’all, if we had them we would charge you and give you something else to complain about,’ the flight attendant agreed.
She then went on to say that she ‘wishes’ she could give the passengers everything they needed, but cited company policy as to why she couldn’t.
The flight attendant finished her spiel by saying that Spirit Airlines will not accept cash, only cards or Apple or Google Pay.
‘One way or another we want you to pay,’ she said.
The video text said: ‘Gotta love the honesty, this s*** is comedy,’ with a caption reading: ‘Omfg. Spirit employee is the s***.’

‘This is quiet quitting,’ Erika Jade added, with Jacob Duke writing that this is what happens ‘when the airline you hate is the only airline that will hire you.’
But some users found the flight attendant’s speech unprofessional.
‘So [ghetto] and unprofessional,’ one user wrote. ‘Regardless of them being low cost doesn’t mean their workers have to act so ghetto and low cost.’
Another suggested that the flight attendant would likely be fired from the airline for her speech.
