This weeks soap spoilers: Stalking hell in EastEnders and harrowing Emmerdale rape

EastEnders (BBC1)

Theo discovers Martin and Eve have worked out that he’s Stacey’s stalker and realises he needs to tell her before they do. He picks the worst possible moment to come clean, as he makes his confession just as Lily goes into labour.

A panicked Stacey tries to bundle him out of the house so she and Jean can concentrate on helping Lily while they wait for an ambulance. When it looks like they are going to have to deliver the baby themselves, Stacey goes to the kitchen to get some towels – and ends up being trapped in there by an irate Theo.

Ian thinks setting up a business will help Cindy win over Gina and Anna, and tries to convince the Panesars to invest. However, when George later belittles him in front of Nish, Ian blurts out a secret that could make relations between the Knights and the Beales even more strained.

Ben struggles with his emotions ahead of Lexi’s first day at high school, and Reiss is anxious about his fertility appointment.

Coronation Street (ITV1)

Cassie starts work at the garage, but it isn’t long before she’s dipping her hand in the petty cash to pay off drug dealer Dean. Abi stops her, but Cassie steals the money Tyrone gave her to pay for Ruby’s new boots instead – and is later found in the street, having overdosed.

She survives, and goes along with Abi’s suggestion of attending a support group to help her get clean. However, she can’t help lying about her past to keep her son on side.

David is horrified that Max has been bunking off college to spend time with Sabrina. Lauren is even more upset – she trashes the salon in a fit of frustration, and is arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

Aadi squirms as Darren asks him about his love life, Eliza is embarrassed by an incident at school, and Ronnie may be about to make another financial mistake.

Emmerdale (ITV1)

Lydia bonds with Craig when they visit their baby’s final resting place together, but she fears they are getting a little too close after they share a charged moment.

She tries to hand in her resignation, but Craig talks her out of it by saying how much it means to him to have her back in his life. However, he later goes much further by telling Lydia exactly how he feels about her, and then forces himself on her.

Caleb has a business proposal for Nate and Cain as he suggests they make the driving business a shared enterprise with him and Nicky. Cain is wary, but when Caleb later cements his status as one of the family by drinking from the Dingle welly, Chas is hopeful that the brothers are bonding.

Meanwhile, Belle is unimpressed when Tom offers to take Dawn for a spin in his flash new car, but the motor causes him even bigger problems when two thugs attack him for the keys.

Hollyoaks (Channel 4)

Darren is worried about Charlie, and his fears only intensify when he finds the dark lyrics the teen has been writing, which Tony agrees are a cry for help.

So, Darren understandably panics when Charlie subsequently goes missing, but with Shing Lin’s help, he’s able to track him down a beach. As the teen starts walking into the sea, with childhood memories flashing through his head, has Darren managed to reach him in time?

Hunter tries to talk to the new head teacher, Carter Shepherd, about the video that’s circulating, only to learn that his new boss is also Freya’s dad.

Faye gives Rayne some honest feedback, which includes the radical suggestion that she should try being nicer. However, Rayne finds that hard to take onboard, especially when her agent decides Lizzie would be perfect for a new promotion.

Ella receives the results of the DNA test, but it seems Warren might be too angry about Norma going behind his back to care what the letter says, and Felix is in trouble.

Home and Away (C5)

Bree has a showdown with Mercedes over her efforts to seduce Remi, who’s made it very clear he only has eyes for Bree. Unfortunately, Mercedes then refuses to return to record her final contributions to Lyrik’s new album. She later changes her mind, but does she have an ulterior motive?

Meanwhile, Justin returns to his duties as the band’s manager, and his first task is to organise a major album launch. Felicity, who’s looking for some much-needed money with which to pay off her blackmailer, hopes Salt will be chosen as the venue. However, Lyrik’s members have something bigger in mind.

Thanks to Xander, Rose and Mali figure out who trashed his home. She also reveals why she set up her big romantic gesture.

Marilyn and John return to the Bay, Irene reveals her loneliness and a miserable Kirby’s downbeat mood is lifted by a life-changing moment.
