The Voice UK viewers couldn’t believe what they were seeing as a cast member of iconic CBBC series Tracy Beaker appeared on the ITV show.

Former actress Alicia Hooper tried her luck with the judges as she arrived to the studio with her dad, partner and their daughter ahead of her big performance.

Speaking to the camera, Alicia revealed that she was a music teacher and had been singing from a young age as her professional singer dad had taught her.

But the big shock of the night was Alicia revealing she had played bad girl Amber Hearst on the second series of beloved BBC series Tracy Beaker.

Starring Dani Harmer as feisty and curly-haired Tracy, it followed the antics of a group of loveable teenagers in a foster home as they awaited new families to choose them.

Amber was a tomboy who was a little older than the rest of the gang, and was known for her love of black, aggressive tendencies and dark bandana around her forehead.

Sadly for Alicia, she failed to impress the judges and had to go home without any judges turning around for her.

Viewers quickly rushed to social media to share their shock at seeing the childhood star appear on their screens as one said: "AMBER FROM TRACY BEAKER????"

Another posted: "OMG it's Amber from Tracy Beaker."

A third chipped in: "Omg that’s Amber from Tracy Beaker ahhhh!!!!"

Only recently, Alicia had shared a sweet throwback snap of herself with Dani Harmer as they sat on a fence in their costumes, with Dani wearing Tracy’s iconic red wardrobe.

The Story of Tracy Beaker, based on the novel by Jacqueline Wilson, first aired on BBC in 2002 and ran for four series until 2006.

The Voice UK airs on Saturdays at 8.30pm on ITV.
