Vera: Shane reveals the truth of what he did to his brother
Vera actor Riley Jones has shared an exciting update on series 13 of the Brenda Blethyn drama.
Riley, who has played police officer Mark Edwards since the beginning, confirmed the cast had finished filming for the upcoming series.
Sharing a snap of the entire cast and crew of Vera, Riley wrote on Instagram: “And that’s a wrap on Vera series 13!!
“What an absolute privilege to have been working with this amazing bunch. Can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to! #Vera.”
The picture showed Riley standing alongside his co-stars including leading lady Brenda who was sat in the middle holding a clapperboard.

David Leon has also made a return to the programme to play Vera’s sidekick, Joe Ashworth.
Newcomer Rhiannon Clements featured in the snap, along with Jon Morrison, who plays Kenny Lockhart in the murder mystery drama.
Rhiannon also took the opportunity to share her highlights from filming after sharing a series of photos on social media.
The newcomer will make her debut in Vera as DC Duncan after replacing actress Ibinabo Jac.

She wrote: “That’s a wrap on Vera S13 and DC Duncan.
“Already missing Steph’s comfy functional treads and threads, the beautiful North East and the incredible cast and crew of this wonderful show, who welcomed me into the Vera family and have worked tirelessly the last few months to make something v special.”
She concluded: “Can’t wait for you to see Vera Series 13 – it’s going to be ‘belta’! #vera #itv.” (sic)
The actor’s posts also sent fans into a frenzy, with many taking to the comments sections to share their excitement.
@juliademaria2 said on Riley’s post: “I cannot wait for the new season to air!!! Vera just keeps on being amazing.”
@dan_coomes beamed: “Can’t b****y wait, best series on TV #vera.”
@lulu170561 added: “Looking forward to seeing it. Every season gets better and better.”

Vera is expected to return next year on ITV.
