Vikings aired on Amazon Prime Video and it was inspired by the sagas of Ragnar Lothbrok (played by Travis Fimmel) and his family. The later seasons followed his sons and the trials and tribulations they faced after his death. Erlendur Horiksson was the ex-husband of Torvi (Georgia Hirst) and actor Edvin Endre has just landed a new Netflix role.

Where is Edvin Endre now?

Swedish actor Edvin joined the cast of Vikings in 2014 and he appeared in the historical drama for two years.

He played Prince Erlendur, the son of King Horik (Donal Logue), who married Torvi but cared very little for her.

In the fourth season, Torvi was ordered to kill Björn (Alexander Ludwig) with Erlendur’s crossbow, but she shot her husband instead.

Edvin has taken on a number of roles since leaving Vikings, with his latest being in the upcoming Netflix series, The Playlist.

The Swedish biopic tells the story of the creation of the music streaming platform, Spotify.

Edvin plays the main star, Daniel Ek, who was the founder of Spotify and he stars alongside the likes of Christian Hillborg, Gizem Erdogan and Ulf Stenberg.

The idea for a series about Daniel Ek has been floating around as early as 2019 and filming started in June 2021.

Daniel, 39, is a Swedish billionaire entrepreneur who founded Spotify in 2002.

At the age of 13, the tech whizz started making websites for clients and his business grew significantly.

He teamed up with Martin Lorentzon to launch the music streaming platform.

Edvin is on Instagram and he shared a photo of himself and his co-stars ahead of the show’s release.

He said: “Wowwowow thank you all for yesterday! I’m overwhelmed. @sorensenperolav @bernalevin @forsman.forsman @eiffeline & Christian Spurrier who all created this show, thank you so much for letting me be a part of this.

“And @netflixnordic for making it all happen. The whole cast – I love you.”

He also shared the trailer which showcases the incredible transformation he went through for the role.

The star made the announcement he would be playing Daniel back in June 2021.
