GOOD Morning Britain fans were left cringing after Ed Balls forgot Cheryl's name – and blamed his co-host for not helping him out.
The broadcaster and former politician was seen hitting out at Susanna Reid for being "a bit slow" as she failed to remind him of the name right away after his blunder.
Ed, 56, was seen stuttering as he tried to remember Cheryl's name, as he opened up on taking part in The Great British Bake Off.
He and Susanna, 52, were joined by entertainment reporter Richard Arnold to talk about the result of the celebrity show.
The trio looked at his show-stopper cake, which consisted of a four-tiered sponge shaped into a ski jump, decorated with sweets.
"Let's take a peruse at your sponge," Richard said, as Susanna happily chimed in: "Now that looks to me like a winner."

But things turned awkward as Ed tried to explain why he didn't take home the title, as he was beaten by Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh.
"Unfortunately, I was up against Kimberley Walsh, and she had been up Kilimanjaro ten years before where her companion caught malaria, whose name was…" Ed continued.
He then looked to Susanna for help, as he squinted and looked at her.
Susanna replied: "Cheryl?" to which Ed said: "Yes right, sorry I was just trying to think there. I was waiting for you to fill in the gap there."

He then hit out: "You were a bit slow," to which a shocked Susanna laughed, saying: "Blimey, sorry. Right, OK."
Richard was left cringing in the studio, as he joked he was "hoping for an emergency alarm" to get away from the situation.
Fans at home agreed, and took to Twitter to hit out at Ed for "blaming Susanna for being slow to the rescue".
"Ed turned his brain freeze on its head by blaming Susanna," one wrote, as another chimed in: "Susanna is fuming at Ed."
It comes days after Ed was forced to apologise after swearing on air.
The former Labour MP was joined by Susanna when he made the blooper, and fans at home were left in shock.
It came during a chat about Danny Dyer, when Ed told how Danny had used the "T-word", leaving Susanna shocked.
Not letting it lie, fan-favourite presenter Ed asked his Good Morning Britain co-host: "So you can't say t**t then? Just checking!"
Susanna, clearly taken aback, asked the former Shadow Chancellor: "You do know we are on air don't you?"
