NEWS anchor Savannah Guthrie is recognized nationwide for her hosting gigs on television.
Viewers are familiar with Savannah due to her spot alongside Jenna Bush Hager, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker on The Today Show, leaving them wondering where she is today.
Where is Savannah Guthrie today?
Savannah Guthrie alarmed some fans when she suddenly disappeared from the newscast this morning, February 28, 2023.
Shortly before 9am, Today tweeted an update from the show about Savannah's having to leave the show early as she tested positive for Covid-19.
In a short video clip from the show, co-anchor Sheinelle Jones said: "Savannah left early. She wasn't feeling great, she took a Covid test, it came back positive, so of course, as soon as we found out, she rushed home to rest up.
"So Savannah we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery," she added, blowing her a kiss through the screen.
When has Savannah been missing?
Savannah was most recently absent from the second half of the broadcast on February 7, 2023.
This is because she had to make it to the airport to co-host President Biden's State of the Union address with Lester Holt that evening.
She was also physically absent from the studio on February 8, 2023, after she spent the night in Washington DC, but she wasn't completely gone from the show.
Guthrie is also a political correspondent for NBC, so she took to the NBC studio in Washington DC the morning after the address in order to be present for Today.
