IT'S that time of year when we're inundated with Christmas adverts, all guaranteed to pull at the heart strings and make you feel all the emotions.
Heartbreakingly, just this week it was revealed the much-loved trampolining boxer dog that featured in John Lewis' 2016 advert had died at the age of 12.
Biff's heartbroken owner, Jan Patten, posted a tribute to her beloved pet on social media, writing: "Fly high our beautiful, special boy, we shall miss you forever."
Here, we take a look at where some of the stars of other iconic Christmas adverts are now…
The Yellow Pages kid (1992)
Everyone of a certain age will remember the Yellow Pages advert, which featured a young boy using a copy of the directory to make himself taller so he could kiss a girl holding mistletoe.
Dean Cook, now in his thirties, went on to run his own upholstery business and last time he spoke to The Sun in 2017 was living in Essex with his fiancée Kelly, a sign language interpreter.

Even then, Dean confessed he still got recognised regularly, saying: "All my friends have a laugh about it and one of them usually wraps up an old Yellow Pages book for Christmas each year as a running joke.
"At 5ft 6in, I’m quite short, so if I can’t reach something, people will ask if I need a telephone directory to stand on – but it’s all said in good fun."
The Long Wait (2011)
The Long Wait advert back in 2011 told the story of a little boy – played by Lewis McGowan – excitedly waiting for Christmas so he could give his parents the gift he bought for them.
The advert was particularly memorable for the music – a cover of The Smiths' Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.

Since then the young lad has had roles in multiple TV shows, including Doctor Who, The Alienist and Houdini and Doyle.
His biggest role was appearing alongside Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.
Lewis, from Hamilton, near Glasgow, was chosen from 250 children to star in the advert, and was just seven years old at the time.
The Kellogg's kids (1991)
The Kellogg's ad starring twins Holly and Alex Stapley first aired in 1991 and featured three children who unusually opted to leave a bowl of cereal out for Santa.
The trio then fell asleep while waiting for him to arrive – but the little blonde girl woke up to the sound of his sleigh bells and caught him.
To buy her silence, Santa offered her his cornflakes, which the little girl took with a cheeky grin.
Both sisters who played the angelic child went on to star in a few TV shows, including a series called Twice In A Lifetime, and also landed the role of Angelica in 1992 film Baby on Board.
In 2004, Alex also played Taylor Wedell in hit chick flick Mean Girls.
Both girls have since left the industry, with Holly becoming a nurse while Alexandra pursued a career in marketing.
The Man On The Moon (2015)
Who could forget the adorable plot of the 2015 John Lewis advert, which centred around a little girl – played by Orla Star Knill-Goldstein – who spots a lonely older gentleman living on the moon.
The campaign was designed to raise awareness around isolation and loneliness at Christmas, and rocketed the then-six year old to fame.
She also starred in Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and went on to star in TV mini series Vanity Fair in 2018.
Monty the Penguin (2014)
John Lewis' tale of Monty the Penguin captured the nation’s hearts in 2014.

The advert followed the close friendship of Monty and a young boy, who decides to find a female penguin for his pal at Christmas.
Schoolboy Rhys Edwards played the lead role of Sam, and the young actor, from Hertfordshire, went on to make an appearance in a Christmas special of Call The Midwife.
