Peckham Rye stabbing: Man, 29, knifed to death in South London park as police launch urgent manhunt | The Sun

A MANHUNT has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in a park in South London.

Emergency crews were scrambled to Peckham Rye Park just before 8.30pm last night after the horror unfolded.

Sadly the 29-year-old victim couldn't be saved and was declared dead at the scene shortly after.

The Met have launched an investigation with no arrests made.

They confirmed the man's next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.

The area has now been cordoned off with a planned New Year's Eve park run cancelled.

Scotland Yard said: "A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in a South London park last night (Friday, December 30).

"The victim was killed in Peckham Rye Park, with police and an ambulance called to the scene at 8.24pm.

"Despite paramedics' best efforts, he died at the scene shortly after 9pm."
