Kyle, 28 who hails from Down Under joined the Australian TV show as surfer Mali and as a friend of River Boy, Dean Thompson at the start of this year.

His character has since gone on to run the local surfboarding shop and at the same time has delighted fans with his addition to the long-running TV series and has already been at the heart of big storylines.

Let's get to know the Home and Away newcomer…

On stage stardom

The 28 year old actor hails from the Widjabul clan of the Bundjalung Nation in Australia, he grew up in both Taree and Pottsville.

Kyle has led a hugely successful career as a dancer having graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance Performance at the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association.

He began his professional career in dance by starring in Bangarra Dance Theatre’s Lore and later toured around Australia in the critically-acclaimed production of The Man with the Iron Neck (Legs on the Wall) – a seriously impressive theatre performance using a range of moves while being flown through the air.

The talented star also appeared in Sunshine Super Girl (Performing Lines), a live performance based on tennis legend Evonne Goolagong Cawley.

His most recent production was in Black Cockatoo for The Ensemble Theatre.

Away from the stage, Kyle appeared in the 2017 short film Hoax before making his debut on Home and Away earlier this year.

Hip hop artist

Aside from an impressive background in dance and acting he's also a talented hip hop artist, known by the name of BLACX.

Kyle has released a number of his own songs including Brown Eyes, Do My Dance and Gimme.

Off screen

The talented actor is often sharing snaps while out with pals or showing off his dazzling smile on Instagram and in May this year dedicated a post to his pal he met "during a dark part" of his life.

Sharing a photo as the pair posed on a boat he gushed: *Quick appreciation post*

"Met this guy during a dark part of my life and as corny as it sounds, he brought the light back. Never did I think from that day almost 8 years ago we’d be the mates we are today. Especially during the circumstances of how we met.

"He gave me a job when I needed it the most. Almost everyday he told me “you shouldn’t be doing this for work” he always knew my potential and always wanted to see me succeed. He always had my back and always supported me."

He's also very much a family man having posted a sweet snap of his baby niece and other family members.

Kyle announced the news that he would be joining the cast of Home and Away in December last year.

Alongside a snap of him posing with a surfboard, he wrote the caption: "It’s official ladies and gentlemen. Stoked to be apart of the amazing family/team of @homeandaway it’s been nothing but an absolute privilege to work with everyone involved. Can’t wait for you all to see the story of "Mali Hudson"

"BIG THANKYOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT ME".
