It’s all kicking off in Coronation Street at the moment – as the end nears for killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).
Other residents of the Cobbles have a lot going on too, now that Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is on the brink of divorce and hatching a new romantic plan, and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) battles an illness as she deals with ex Henry Newton.
Could there also be some romance on the horizon for Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson)?
Well, if you’re dying to find out, you might have to adjust your viewing times, as the ITV schedule shows a few changes to usual Corrie times, with one episode bumped from its usual day.
So, what’s going on? Why isn’t Coronation Street on as normal, and when IS it set to air?
Why is Corrie not on as usual this week?

It’s all thanks to ITV screening the Rugby World Cup and the National Television Awards (NTAs).
Fans of fellow soap Emmerdale should also take note – as their beloved show is also affected by these major TV events.
Today (Tuesday, September 5), you can expect to see no Corrie (as usual), but a double bill of Emmerdale from 7pm until 8pm, after which the NTAs are on until 10.30pm.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, September 6), Emmerdale is on at 7.30pm, before one hour of Coronation Street from 8pm until 9pm.
Thursday, September 7 sees a bit of a soap bonanza – with Emmerdale on for one hour from 7pm until 8pm, and Coronation Street also lasting around one hour from 9pm.
Things look a bit different on Friday, September 8 – as there are no soaps on at all and the Rugby World Cup dominates ITV’s evening schedule from 6.45pm until 10.35pm.
So, make sure to set your reminders – or, if you’re not free, catch up with the latest soap goings on on streaming service ITVX.
