Yasmeen Nazir devastated by Stu Carpenter’s lies in Coronation Street | The Sun

STU Carpenter went the extra mile to be able to have his granddaughter Eliza Woodrow by his side.

But in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Yasmeen Nazir finds out what he's been up to and it could lead her to a shock decision.

After enduring unspeakable acts of mental abuse during her marriage with Geoff Metcalfe, Yasmeen Nazir decided to make sure the next person she was involved with would be upfront with her.

Regular ITV viewers will remember Geoff took advantage of and continuously lied to the fan favourite played by Shelley King.

To top it all off, he even cheated on her with multiple escorts, leading her to contract an STI.

Following her ordeal, which resulted in Geoff's death, Yasmeen has grown stronger and her luck in romance changed when she met Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) in the cobbles.

The former homeless man and fan favourite character found a place in Yasmeen's heart as well as in the Speed Daal kitchen as a chef.

Yasmeen even took in Stu's granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) after her mother Bridget was incarcerated for murder.

But could that all change when she figures out that Stu has been keeping another secret from her?

Coming up, in the café, Eliza puts in her earpods and refuses to engage.

Yasmeen and her own granddaughter Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) are worried for her, knowing how upset she was when her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt) failed to turn up for Christmas.

Meanwhile, Stu feels wretched knowing that Dom is only staying away because he paid him off.

Later on, Stu calls Dom and leaves a message for him telling him that Eliza is very upset and he fears he made a mistake.

Stu is overwhelmed with guilt and he finally decides to admit to Yasmeen that it’s his fault Dom did a disappearing act as he paid him £10k to stay away from Eliza.

He justifies his actions by claiming he thought it was in Eliza's best interests and now Dom won't come back.

Yasmeen is horrified beyond belief and, in later scenes, she turns to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) to vent about Stu’s duplicitous behaviour.

A deflated Yasmeen reveals that, yet again, she’s fallen for a man who does nothing but lie to her.

But what will Roy say?

Could he put things into perspective for her?

Fans of the Manchester-based program have feared that Yasmeen and Roy could embark on an affair, despite his own strong and friendly bond with Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman).

Could things be headed that way for Roy and Yasmeen?

Whatever the case, Stu soon tells Yasmeen and Alya that he doesn’t want Eliza blaming herself for her Dad’s disappearance and he is willing to tell her the truth.

However, Yasmeen tells Stu that it’s probably best if he doesn’t confess all to Eliza as he’s the only family she has now and she’d be terribly hurt by his confession.
