Yet another Emmerdale exit as major character is found dead in big twist

Victor Anderson (Essie Osei) is dead following a showdown with Charles (Kevin Mathurin) in Emmerdale.

The new face is the father of Charles and ex-husband of Claudette (Flo Wilson). He made his arrival to the village a few months ago after time behind bars for attempting to rob a building society with a shotgun and attacking a security guard.

The underlying theme in Victor’s storyline was trying to establish whether he really was a changed man. He successfully convinced Claudette, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) and Naomi (Karene Peter) that he wanted to be a better person, but Charles believed that it was all a façade.

Still furious that Claudette and Victor had reconnected, Charles headed out of the village in Tuesday’s (August 29) episode of the ITV soap, with his and Manpreet’s relationship still somewhat strained.

Jai (Chris Bisson) then arrived and asked for the necklace back that once belonged to Rishi (Bhasker Patel).

It then became apparent it had gone missing and very quickly, fingers were pointed in Victor’s direction.

Claudette defended Victor, but she was then backed into a corner after searching his pockets and finding the item of jewellery.

As Claudette, Manpreet and a returning Charles chatted to PC Swirling, Victor had ran away.

Out in the village, Charles decided to check the church during his search for his father, and found Victor on a chair.

Initially, Charles believed that he was asleep, but he then touched Victor’s shoulder and realised he had died.

We know Victor has been living with an unruptured brain aneurysm, which could’ve been the cause of his death, but did he die a guilty man after stealing the watch, or was he innocent and framed?

Victor’s death comes after multiple departures in the show. We have said goodbye to Rishi Sharma, who died after falling down the stairs and also stalker Lloyd, who died after being attacked by Dan Spencer (Liam Fox).

An exit for Dan aired a few weeks ago, while David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) are also set to depart the Dales in the coming months.

Not only that, we are also saying goodbye to show boss Jane Hudson and, after new pictures were revealed, we could be watching Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) final scenes air soon as well.
