Moment scissor-wielding attacker chases victim into a shop before stabbing him in the head in a stock room

This is the moment a man wielding a pair of scissors chases another man through a shop before repeatedly stabbing him in the head.
Ryan McLean, 39, was jailed for almost three years after he seriously injured a 29-year-old man in Portslade, Brighton, on February 27 this year.
McLean, from Brighton, was tracked down and caught by police 211 miles away from the scene of the crime after a 62-day manhunt.
He was caught on convenience store Rishi News’s CCTV cornering his victim in the shop’s stock room and ‘viciously assaulting him’.

He chased the man into an off-licence and pursued him into the store’s stock room
Once he cornered him, McLean stabbed him multiple times in the head, seriously injuring his victim
McLean (pictured) was previously spotted chasing his victim’s car at high speed through Portslade shortly before midday before he got out and continued the chase on foot
Detective Inspector Neil Phillips said: ‘Ryan McLean is a violent offender with a significant criminal history and we are pleased to have taken him off the streets where he can cause no more harm to the public.
‘Despite his attempts to evade capture, we and our partners in Merseyside Police were able to track him down and bring him to justice.
‘The age-old message that ‘you can run but you can’t hide’ still rings true, and this sentence should serve as a warning to anybody attempting to hide from the law that they will be found and justice will be served.’
McLean was previously spotted chasing his victim’s car at high speed through Portslade shortly before midday before he got out and continued the chase on foot.
Despite a shop worker’s attempt to stop him from chasing the victim McLean forced his way through and attacked the man.
After stabbing him in the head multiple times he fled and a manhunt was launched that included a £3,000 reward from Crimestoppers for information leading to his arrest.

He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, before pleading guilty to both offences
McLean was sentenced to 33 months in custody at Lewes Crown Court on July 15 for GBH and six months in custody for the possession of an offensive weapon, to run concurrently
More than 60 days later on April 29, he was arrested in the Dingle area of Liverpool in a joint operation between Sussex and Merseyside police.
When he was arrested, McLean asked officers: ‘Is this about that thing down south?’
He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, before pleading guilty to both offences.
McLean was sentenced to 33 months in custody at Lewes Crown Court on July 15 for GBH and six months in custody for the possession of an offensive weapon, to run concurrently.
He also received an additional four-week jail sentence to run consecutively for breaching a suspended prison sentence for possession of a knife and drug driving.
