‘Your car’s running away!’ Bizarre moment cyclist is confronted by motorist who overtook him – whose vehicle begins to roll down the street during heated row

This is the bizarre moment a cyclist is confronted by a motorist who overtook him – before the vehicle begins to roll down the street during a heated row.

The video posted to Twitter by a user called Northfield cyclist shows him travelling North on Spring Lane near the M24 in Solihull, south of Birmingham. 

The cyclist waves to his right, where a blue Peugot is overtaking him.

He says in the video ‘Oi, really, wow, oi.’

As the driver opens the door screaming ‘what’, the cyclist says: ‘Don’t overtake when I’m indicating right please.’ 

The man and his female passenger get out of the car and he angrily asks: ‘What’s wrong with you you tw**?’

The man approaches the cyclist, who informs the man: ‘Your car’s running away, your car’s running away, careful.’ 

The driver and his passenger run along with the car until he manages to put the handbreak on. 

The cyclist waves to his right, where a blue Peugot is overtaking him

The driver breakchecks the cyclist and the man as well as his female passenger get out of the car as he angrily asks the cyclist: ‘What’s wrong with you you tw**?’

The grey-haired man screams at the cyclist: ‘What on earth is wrong with you man’, before getting back into the car. 

The cyclist posted the video and commented: ‘Only worthy of a “Warning letter sent for inconsiderate driving” from Warwickshire Police. 

‘I was indicating to turn right approx 50yds before turn=Brake checked and 2 very, very angry people. #hockleyheath #cycling’

His tweet went viral on Twitter, with many saying while the driver may have been right to overtake the cyclist – as there was ‘enought time’ until the cyclist would turn right, one said – the driver ‘threatened’ the cyclists’s wellbeing and he failed to  ‘drive with due care re his car rolling away’.
