Boy, four, savaged by dog leaving him needing 30 stitches after dad took his eye off him ‘for a moment’ – The Sun

A TODDLER needed 30 stitches after a dog savaged his face as he was out walking with this dad.

Kody Lochrie, four, was hospitalised after the 'big' beast mauled him when his dad took his eyes of him "for a moment".

The attack happened in Kirkintilloch, just outside Glasgow, on Sunday.

Kody's family have now launched an online appeal to help track down the dog and owner.

A Facebook post read: "On Sunday January 12 around 2.30pm/3pm my grandson Kody was attacked by a black dog.

"We don't know what kind of dog it was only that it was a big black dog.

"I have put photos of Kody on to show the damage this dog has done.

"His father took his eyes off him for a moment.

"If anyone has CCTV please check if this dog can be seen.

"Kody has had surgery and has over 30 stitches in his face.

"THIS DOG has to be found before some child is hurt again.

"Please if you know ANYTHING or seen ANYTHING.

"Please mail Briony Carr or myself.

"Please HELP US find this dog.

"No matter how small the information is I can't stress enough this dog must be found.

"I've put a picture up of were this attack took place …….. Thank you for reading please SHARE."

The post has racked up over 1,000 shares and punters have been quick to offer their help and share their support for young Kody.

Police Scotland have approached for comment.
