The moment rapist was arrested by police in his pants after he drugged straight men at Chelsea’s exclusive Raffles nightclub before sexually assaulting them – as detectives fear he could have targeted HUNDREDS more victims

  • Video shows moment ‘brazen’ rapist was arrested by cops in his Oxon home
  • Luiz Da Silva Neto, 35, found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting two men
  • Police believe there may be more of his victims who are yet to come forward
  • Case bears resemblance to crimes committed by Reynhard Sinaga, the UK’s most prolific rapist who was convicted of 159 sex offences in Manchester

This is the moment a half-dressed ‘brazen’ rapist who drugged men before sexually assaulting them was told to put his trousers on before being arrested by police.

Luiz Da Silva Neto, 35, was found guilty on Friday at Oxford Crown Court of using illegal substances, believed to be GHB or GBL, to sexually assault two men in November and December 2021.

Neto’s first target was a man who had visited his property in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire, before being spiked and sexually assaulted by the sex attacker.

His other victim was a married man who was on a night out with work colleagues in central London hotspot Raffles before he was drugged and driven back to Neto’s home where he raped him.

New video released by Thames Valley Police shows the moment a visibly confused Neto is instructed to put his trousers on before he is arrested by police officers.

Other clips released by the force show him being quizzed by cops and denying sexually assaulting one of his victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, instead insisting he was asking for ‘kisses and cuddles’ in bed.

Survivor who was raped and sexually assaulted reveals lingering trauma from the ‘worst experience’

One of predatory sex attacker Luiz Da Silva Neto’s victims has revealed it was ‘the worst experience I have ever lived through’.

In an interview with Sky News, made public after Da Silva Neto’s conviction, the first victim, a heterosexual man, told how the crimes affected his life.

This assault took place at a house in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire, on November 9 and 10 after victim one and Da Silva Neto had shots of Jagermeister.

Victim one began to feel tired and went to sleep fully clothed before waking up naked, unable to move due to being drugged, while being sexually assaulted, the court heard.

After the incident, the victim was diagnosed with PTSD, requires counselling and support to get to sleep and socialise, and reports losing his vision and hearing.

Speaking to Sky News as Da Silva Neto was found guilty, he said: ‘This is my duty to come forward because these type of people are dangerous to society.

‘Basically, he drugged me and he used me, I don’t want to go into details, I don’t want to memorise it again, I don’t want to relive it.

‘For me, this is the worst experience I have ever survived or lived through.’

During the first attack on November 10, 2021, Da Silva Neto and his first victim shared shots of Jagermeister before the man fell asleep, waking up later to find himself completely naked.

Upon leaving the property, the victim noticed what he described as a syringe on the side of the kitchen and became convinced he had been drugged, the court heard.

Da Silva Neto, who was described as a ‘very dangerous man’, had told the trial his victim ‘was consenting’ and ‘awake’ when the pair had intimate contact.

Da Silva Neto’s second attack occurred exactly a month later at the exclusive Raffles nightclub, where his victim later reported feeling ‘strange’ and having a cup of ‘dark, brown liquid’ held to his lips before waking up naked in an unfamiliar location.

Da Silva Neto said he was ‘high’ and looking for drugs that night but claimed the married man did not seem intoxicated when they met and he denied spiking the man’s drink.

Police believe Da Silva Neto targeted heterosexual males because he thought they would be less likely to report him.

And officers also fear there could be dozens more victims who were attacked by the ‘polished’ sex attacker, whose methods bear chilling resemblance to Manchester-based rapist Reynhard Sinaga.

Thames Valley Police have urged anybody who thinks they may be a victim of sexual assault by Da Silva Neto, or by anybody, to come forward.

Senior investigating officer Inspector James Holden-White said: ‘When we look at the method of offending in this case, it seems very brazen, it seems very polished and quite accomplished, he knows what he is doing.’

He added: ‘We are continuing to investigate his activities, I cannot go into any of that, but what I will say is that if you think you are a victim of Luiz Da Silva Neto, or if you think you are a victim of similar offending by somebody else, please come forward, we will listen to you.’

The police detailed how Da Silva Neto visited several pub toilets and approached men to test their sobriety in order to identify victims before drugging them.

They said the case had similarities to the crimes committed by Reynhard Sinaga, the UK’s most prolific rapist, in Manchester.

Sinaga was jailed in January 2020 for drugging and raping more than 40 men, with his trial hearing that he targeted people by posing as a Good Samaritan before lacing his victims’ drinks with drugs such as GBH to render them unconscious.

It is believed he has more victims yet to be formally identified, as Greater Manchester Police received more than 155 reports following a public appeal after his conviction.

Mr Holden-White said: ‘I’m more concerned that this could be similar to the Reynhard Sinaga case in Manchester, which was also widely reported on, where a man did something very, very similar.

‘He (Sinaga) is going into the night-time economy, he is targeting people who are already vulnerable and drunk, he is being a Good Samaritan, and offering to get them some food or call them a taxi or get them a drink.

‘Sinaga then got them up into his flat which was very accessible to where he was and was then able to administer a substance and go on to sexually offend against them.’

The case bears chilling resemblance to Reynhard Sinaga, 37, the Manchester-based rapist who was locked up for a minimum of 30 years after being convicted of carrying out 159 sex attacks on 48 different men after drugging them

Judge Suzanne Goddard QC, who sentenced him to a minimum of 30 years, described Sinaga as ‘an evil serial sexual predator’ and a ‘monster’

Mr Holden-White has urged people in nightclubs and bars to remain vigilant, stay close to friends, and use night-time services such as social workers and police officers if they feel in danger.

He said: ‘I cannot stress how unusual and rare these kinds of offences are, I really do not want to cause any alarm whatsoever.’

Yesterday, Da Silva Neto clasped his head in his hands and began to cry silently as he was found guilty of drugging, sexually assaulting and raping a married man who had been on a night out with colleagues.

A jury at Oxford Crown Court took 13 hours and 39 minutes to find Luiz Da Silva Neto, 35, guilty of the assault in December 2021.

They found Da Silva Neto guilty of administering a substance with intent at a property in Oxfordshire, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent and rape.

District Crown Prosecutor Claire Beards said: ‘Luiz Inacio Da Silva Neto opportunistically targeted his victims, drugging and then sexually assaulting them when they were in no position to consent.

‘He denied any wrongdoing and claimed his actions were all done consensually. However, thanks to the incredible bravery of the victims in coming forward with their accounts, and supporting drug evidence, we were able to build a strong case against him so that the jury could be sure he was guilty.

‘I hope today’s verdict brings both those men a sense of justice.’

Da Silva Neto, of Wandsworth, south London, denied drugging two men, who cannot be named for legal reasons, potentially with GHB or GBL and sexually assaulting them in November and December 2021.

Prosecutor Matthew Walsh earlier described the drug as an ‘aphrodisiac’ which has ‘euphoric and hallucinogenic effects’.

The jury found Da Silva Neto not guilty of charges of kidnap and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence in relation to the married man.

The jury had previously also found Da Silva Neto not guilty on one count of administering a substance with intent with regard to the married man.
