Crooked House: Cops make third arrest over fire at UK's wonkiest pub as man, 51, held | The Sun

A THIRD man has been arrested following a fire at Britain's wonkiest pub.

The blaze broke out at the Crooked House pub in Himley, Staffordshire, last month reducing it to a pile of rubble.

Police confirmed a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent or being reckless as to whether life was endangered.

The suspect, from Buckingham, has since been released on conditional police bail.

He is the third man to be arrested after two men aged 66 and 33 were also held.

Both those men were also released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

The famous pub was gutted last month by a suspected arson attack just two days after it was sold.

It was then mysteriously turned to a pile of rubble less than two days later.

Campaigners calling for the pub to be rebuilt have been keeping guard over building site – including 25,000 bricks.

Staffordshire Police said they have been trawling through CCTV as the investigation continues.
